The projection of Fuzileiros Forces from the sea to land is done by the Unidade de Meios de Desembarque (Means of Amphibious Landing Unit), a subunit of the Fuzileiros Battalion nº1 capable of aiding in amphibious operations, including rivers and estuaries.

Amphibious Landing

​​The Unidade de Meios de Desembarque (Means of Amphibious Landing Unit), dating back to 1979 as operational attributes of training and logistics which englobe:

  • Promote the training of the available aquatic means;

  • Support training activities of the Fuzileiros Forces and Units;

  • Ensure the cooperation with the Autoridade Nacional de Emergência e Proteção Civil (Nacional Authority of Emergencies and Civil Protection);

  • Support other activities in the ambit of Navy missions.
